Management Team
Bill Mast – Founder and President Emeritus:
Bill Mast founded Mast Drug Company in 1962. He started the company as a chain of retail drug stores and began providing long-term care services several years later. He received his BS in pharmacy in 1952. He is a lifetime member of NCAP, NARD and APHA. He also received the Don Blanton Award from the NC Pharmacy Association in 1991.
Bill is a member and former deacon of the First Baptist Church in Henderson, NC and served as president of the Cullom Baptist Association for many years. Bill and his wife Patricia live in Henderson, NC. He has two daughters, Beth and Susan, and 6 grandchildren.
Richard Flye – President and CEO:
Richard Flye has held several positions since he first began working for Mast in 1989; therefore he has a broad understanding of the industry and the needs of long-term care communities. He graduated from East Carolina University with a BSBA in Accounting and is an avid supporter of the University. He and his wife Beth are the parents of two grown children. They reside in Henderson, NC.
Polly Beal – Vice President of Finance:
Polly Beal recently celebrated her 55th anniversary with Mast Drug and has held numerous roles in the company since her start in 1962. Her journey began in the retail store in Henderson, NC and since she has led all administrative managerial responsibilities in the corporate office. She graduated from Louisburg College with an AA in Business in 1994. Polly and her husband Bruce live in Henderson, NC. They have one grown daughter and two grandchildren.
Claire Donahoe – Vice President of Sales and Operations:
Claire Donahoe is responsible for client communication, customer service and business fulfillment. She graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in Communication. As a member of the Mast family she takes customer service to heart. Claire lives in Wilmington with her husband, Will, and their two children Grace and Mathis.
Andrew Flye – Vice President of Sales and Real Estate:
Andrew received his BS in University Studies at East Carolina University. He procures Mast Drug Company’s real estate investments and assists in the development of new business. He is a member of the Mast family and lives in Raleigh with his wife, Mallory and their daughter, Harriette.
Retail Managers
Amanda Belanger – Retail Manager of Drugs America, Lumberton, NC:
Amanda has been working in retail pharmacy for over 20 years and joined Drugs America in 2013. She graduated from Campbell University with a BS in Pharmaceutical Science, Masters in Clinical Research, and Doctorate in Pharmacy. Amanda and her husband AJ live in Fayetteville, NC and own Belanger Signs and Graphixs. They have three sons, Axel, Blaze and Aven and 2 boston terriors, Karson and Kody.
Chad Duke – Retail Manager of Mast Pharmacy, Williamston NC:
Chad Duke has been with Mast Drug Company since he was a sophomore in high school. Following graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s pharmacy school, he returned to Mast Pharmacy in Williamston in 1997. He and his wife, Lisa, have two daughters. They are all big Tar Heel fans residing in Greenville, NC.
Rand Jackson – Retail Manager of Mast Family Drug, Henderson, NC:
Rand started working for Mast Pharmacy in Williamston, NC in 2013 while he attended East Carolina University obtaining a BA in Chemistry. He graduated from the Campbell University College of Pharmacy in 2019 and immediately joined Mast Family Drug Center in Henderson, NC as a pharmacist. Rand and his wife, Katie, live in Morrisville and have a daughter named Sophie and a dog named Drake. Rand enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
