Long Term Care
Bottom Line Price Guarantee
We understand the financial burden medications can cause for the elderly. That's why Mast LTC guarantees the lowest overall cost for each resident's medication regimen. If we find that a long term care competitor is charging a better price for a resident’s full bill then we will lower the cost to compensate. In addition, Mast LTC researches industry prices each year to ensure that our prices are low and competitive.
Mast LTC provides daily medication deliveries to each of the communities we serve. Community management can choose to have monthly batch deliveries for maintenance medications and daily deliveries for new orders. Communities may also choose an "order as you go" method where daily deliveries will include reordered medications and all new orders.
Medications are delivered daily via courier or an overnight carrier depending upon a community’s location and preference. Courier deliveries arrive each evening and overnight deliveries arrive in the morning.
24/7 On-Call Pharmacist
Communities that use Mast LTC have 24-7 access to a pharmacist that can call in a prescription at anytime. If a new medication is needed after hours or on holidays the on-call pharmacist will call the prescription into a 24-hour pharmacy close to the community and arrange to have it delivered to the facility. In addition, Mast LTC will contract with local pharmacies so that back-up billing is streamlined and all medications are on the same bill.
Mast pharmacists are also available 24/7 to answer any medication questions or provide guidance throughout the evening or on holidays.
Drug Utilization Reviews
Mast LTC understands how difficult it is for ALF management to keep up with expanding pharmacy rules and regulations – that's why we do it for you. Mast LTC's Consulting Pharmacists are experts in their field. They provide quarterly or bi-annual drug utilization reviews depending upon a facility’s requirements and preferences. These reviews include a thorough review of each resident’s chart, a review of your cart and review of med passes. The pharmacist will then provide recommendations for your staff in order to avoid citation by the state. They will also provide recommendations to doctors on useful changes to each resident's medication regime. This saves you time and money and keeps your residents at their healthiest.
